Looking for a job can be a stressful experience, especially in a highly competitive job market. The job hunting process can be time-consuming, full of rejections, and sometimes it can feel like you're sending your resume and cover letter into a void, never to hear back again. Not to mention the added pressure of financial strain and feeling unfulfilled in your current situation. It can take a toll on your physical and mental health, but it's important to remember that you're not alone in this experience. Believe me, just went through this myself. There were days that I felt I d bee hit by a truck!

There are many things that you can do to manage stress while job hunting. Here are a few tips that may help:
1. Take breaks: It's easy to get caught up in the job search and spend hours scrolling through job listings, but it's important to step away and take breaks. Go for a walk, exercise, or find another activity that brings you joy.
2. Lean on your support system: Let your friends and family know that you're job hunting and how it's been affecting you. They can be a sounding board, provide encouragement and support you through this time.
3. Limit job searching time: Give yourself a set amount of time each day to job hunt. This can help prevent job-hunting related anxiety from consuming your entire day.
4. Focus on what you can control: Understand that some factors are outside of your control, such as when receiving responses to applications. Focus on the things you do have control over, such as updating your LinkedIn profile or reaching out to contacts.
5. Practice self-care: Eating a healthy diet, staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, and managing your stress through activities like meditation or yoga can help you stay mentally and physically well.
Remember, landing your dream job may take some time ( 6 to 12 weeks) , but with perseverance, and taking care of yourself along the way, you can make it happen. You've got this!
